What batteries does it take?
To help maximize battery life the Parking Spot Saver runs on 4 D cell batteries, the largest capacity batteries commonly available. The remote runs on one CR2032 coin cell battery.
Are batteries included?
The remote battery is included. The main unit batteries are not included but are available for purchase during checkout at market price.
How long do the batteries last?
1 to 2 years, depending on use and battery brand.
How do I change the batteries?
The batteries are housed in the left compartment, the one NOT connected to the arm. Unscrew the compartment from the bottom, replace the batteries, and reaffirm.
How do I change the remote battery?
Remove the keychain ring, pop open the case with a flathead screwdriver, remove the old battery and replace with a new CR2032 coin cell battery. Be sure to orient it with the positive side facing the right direction, as indicated on the battery holder.
What is the operating range of the remote?
The remote works within a range of about 75 feet (23 meters).
Is the Parking Spot Saver weatherproof?
The Parking Spot Saver can withstand rain, moderate snowfall, and being submerged in up to an inch of water. Deeper submersion, such as in the event of flooding, may cause irreparable damage to the circuit board. The Parking Spot Saver may not function properly when covered by heavy snow fall.
Is assembly required?
Where in the parking space do I position the Parking Spot Saver?
It is recommended that the Parking Spot Saver be installed in the back half of the parking space, away from the entrance where most of the wheel turning takes place.
How do I install the Parking Spot Saver to prevent theft?
It is recommended that each Parking Spot Saver be installed into the ground using the included security latch. Installtion is easy, as outlined on the installation page.
